1.    Description

This is not a race, its a GPS Team Trail Ride and is by invitation only. Tracks are downloaded to your GPS and you follow the set track on your GPS. Teams must consist of two to four riders but not more than 4 riders and must stay together. Your team can choose from Gold, Silver or Bronze tracks, so choose wisely. Day 1 will be the hard day with a riding time between 8 and 11 hours. Day 2 will be a shorter day with riding time between 7 and 9 hours.

 

2.    Membership and Responsibility

Membership is $10 and must be renewed annually and a reference is required to join Trail Master. This will keep unwanted people out of Trail Master and make sure we remain secret. Sharing of photos and videos must remain in Trail Master and not be posted to open public forums, groups or even you own Facebook. As a member of Trail Master, you become accountable for where we ride and we must remain a secret to all but members of Trail Master. Your membership will not be accepted until payment is received. If payment is not processed at the time of membership registration, a bank transfer must be received within 2 working days, or your membership will be cancelled and you must register for membership again. All payments are through Paypal or Bank Transfer. All track managers and life members are exempt from the membership fee, but must still complete the membership form. Members that ride all events in one year, will become Life Members.

You can have up to 5 riders in a team registered as members, but only 2,3 or 4 members can ride at any one trail ride at a time. Once you have joined, you will be added to Trail Master Private group. All events and information will be posted to this group

 

If you are found sharing the GPS tracks with anybody other than myself, you will be banned from Trail Master.

 

Each rider will have the following responsibilities

a)    You are responsible for your own actions

b)    It is your responsibility to find your way to the overnight stop or back to your vehicle

c)    If your bike breaks down, it is your responsibility to get it back to your vehicle. The service crew will do there best to help you.

d)    If you hurt yourself in any way or form, it is your teams responsibility to get back to your vehicle

e)    If you come across a rider that has crashed or injured themselves, you must help that rider.

f)      If you dont like what you have read or want to complain, stay at home

4.    Registration

All rides will be posted to the Trail Master Private group and registration will open 1 to 2 months before the date of the ride and some rides may be limited to 50 riders. 

 

Registration fees will vary for each round in the series and fees will include the following where required (but not be exclusive too)

 

a)  Service Crew

b)  Fuel

c)  Lunch Refreshments

d)  GPS Tracks

e)  Track preparation, Clearing and Design

f)   Accommodation

g)  Presentation

h)  Raffle

 

This fee will be payable on registration and your registration will not be accepted until payment is received. If a payment is not processed at the time of registration or within 2 working days, your registration will be cancelled and you must register again.

  

5.    Teams

All teams must adhere to the following

a)    Teams must consist of 2 to 4 riders only for each ride, with at least 2 riders completing the whole track.

b)    Teams must remain consistent of 2 riders from the registered team for each ride.

d)    Teams must stay together

e)    Teams must start on their allocated start time

f)      Teams will be seeded

  

6.    Riders

a)    All riders must have a Garmin mounted GPS

b)    Riders may have to supply their own Fuel. Only 10 Litre containers will be accepted and will be required to be handed to the service crew at the start of each day. The number of drums will be determined for each ride

c)    Riders must be over 18

d)    Riders must hold and carry a valid Australian Bike Licence

e)    Riders must carry Liquids, Rope, Mobile Phone, Hand saw, money and tools to repair their own bike, including punctures.

g)    All riders must complete a registration form

h)    Riders must print a copy of all the current rider contact numbers and take it with you

  

7.    Bikes

a)    Bikes must be registered and reliable

b)    Have a working head and tail light

c)    Be quietly silenced

d)    Have good tyres and brakes

e)    Must be able to do up to 90Km on 1 tank of fuel

f)      Must have the allocated team number on the head light

g)  2 Stroke riders must curry there own 2 stroke oil

h)  Your must have your team number on the front of your bike and must be visible to the service crew.

  

8.    Times

b)    Start for each day will be between sunrise and 30 minutes after sunrise

c)    Lunch will between 12 and 2pm

d)   Expected finish will be between 3 and 6pm, unless a night ride is planned

e)   Dinner will be at 7pm each night

f)    Loading of Tracks to GPSs will be from 8pm, both nights

g) Please make sure you start time, Service Point times and finish times is recorded by the service crew. This is your responsibility.

  

9.         Tracks, GPS and Waypoints

a)    Gold - Riders should have some Enduro racing experience with solid Enduro riding and technical skills. Riders will need to be riding fit, have endurance and mental stability. There will be a few extreme sections with steps, insane uphills and downhills that they have never considered riding before. You will be helping your team mates in a few places. You like to be challenged. Con Thermos's words - "Can't ride up without help. Can't ride down". Recommended for riders that have or will be riding Romanics Gold\Silver Class, Pro and Expert riders.

b)    Silver - Riders should have good Enduro riding and technical skills. Your physical fitness and mental stability will be tested and should be able to quickly recover from some technical sections. You like a good ride. The extreme sections will be cut out. Recommended for riders that have or will be riding Romanics Bronze Class, Experts and good seasoned clubman riders.

c)    Bronze - For clubman riders, you don't like to get tired, just a nice easy flowing ride with a few hills thrown in to test your skills.

Recommended for riders that have or will be riding Romanics Iron Class and Clubman riders.

d)    No tracks will be emailed to any rider at any time

e)    Tracks will only be downloaded to your GPS, the night before each day

f)      All Tracks on your GPS must be cleared before each event

g)    Only maps may remain

h)    The maximum length between refuels will be no longer than 90km

i)      All GPS Tracks to follow, will be Black or Blue

j)      All road out tracks will be Cyan in Colour and will start from certain check points

l)      You are recommended to adhere to the Time Cut offs (if any) and follow short cut tracks where available

m)  If you leave the course for any reason, are running late (ie its getting dark) break down or hurt yourself - you must let the Track Manager and the Service Crew know by Text message

n)    All GPSs must have your name on it

o)    Only Garmin GPSs will have tracks loaded to it

p)  No tracks will be emailed to anybody.

q)    All tracks will be named as follows

       D1G1  - Day 1 Gold Section 1

       D1G2  - Day 1 Gold Section 2

       D1S1  - Day 1 Silver Section 1

       D1S2  - Day 1 Silver Section 2

       D2B1  - Day 2 Bronze Section 1

       - CP02 - 81Km 8h15m - Check Point 2, you have 81Km to the finish and estimated 8 hours and 15 min ride time

       - TP1 - 67Km 6h20m - Track Point 1 (may be a service point), This is where you change tracks. you have 67Km to the finish

               and an estimated 6 hours and 20 min ride time

10.         General

Presentation\Raffles (if available) will be held on Saturday night of Day 1 for each ride
